Frozen Banana - I think I got this wrong!!!

Frozen Banana - I think I got this wrong!!!

Post by fatbuster205 »

OK - it is official - I am a plonker!!! Loads of you have talked about bananas, when they are turning, do well in the freezer! So the other day, I was doing my usual sorting through the kitchen and I had a couple of bananas starting to spot. So I chucked them in the freezer, whole!!(It was late!!!). The question therefore is, how do you guys freeze bananas? And, more to the point, can I eat the ones I froze???
Yeah, I know!!! I really am a plonker!!!

Hi Anne,

If you can peel the bananas, you may be able to eat them, but I've never tried freezing them whole. It's much easier if you peel a banana and put it in a ziploc-type plastic bag, before you freeze it.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

Anne, I have been successful in freezing bananas that are "too" ripe. Just peel them, chop and use in your favorite recipe.
