help Tex re Vit D

Hello everyone, I have been off steroids for 7 weeks now doing well, an odd day when I have to take Imodium etc but so well I can hardly beleive it, we left Ireland for 8 weeks and are spending christmas here , in spain, first christmas with my mother in many years, she is great with my diet but I want to give her a scientific reason for taking high doses of vit D to keep her immune system in fighting condition but need you to write down with proof it isnt just good for bones which she believes, merry christmas to all, I wouldnt be where I am without this forum, many thanks Beni

Hi Beni,

It's good to hear that you're doing so well now, and I'm glad that you were able to make the trip to spend Christmas in Spain, with your mother.

There are so many benefits of vitamin D that I don't know where to start. Rather than me making a list, the Vitamin D Council has already organized much of the research data available on vitamin D into neat little articles. If you go to the site at the link below, at the left side of the page there is a list of health conditions that are affected by vitamin D. If you click on any of them, you will be able to read an article about how vitamin D affects that particular health condition.
