Since I posted on Polly's thread about her blood work, been mostly following the paleo diet. I have forgotten how good I can feel. I had planned to start this after the holidays, but our travel plans were changed first by vehicle issues and now by the weather. My husband & I went to Furr's Cafeteria today for Christmas dinner. It was just he & I at the house. I did have the sweet potatoes with sugar and a piece of cornbread. Other than that meal consisted of fish, beef, veggies, & fruit. Tonight I'm preparing chicken & asparagus. Hubby will have bread, I won't.
Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas or a Happy Holiday. Also hope you & yours are safe & warm.

Merry Christmas! Sounds like an awesome meal to me. My New Year's resolution is to cut down on the carbs. That'll be harder for me than giving up the gluten and dairy! I'm hoping my body can tolerate a little more veggies (just a little) and maybe an apple or a peach. Getting tired of bananas.
Here's to a happy, healthy and healing 2013!!

Brenda,
It's a shame that you had to change your travel plans, but the fact that you're feeling better so soon after starting the paleo diet is a pretty nice trade. And it's a great way to begin the new year.
I'm glad I'm not in Amarillo this morning — it's plenty cold enough to suit me, down here.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
