Newbie update
One week post ND/acupuncture appointment and I am off the Cholestrymine. GF/DF/caffeine free. Taking acidophilus 2x per day, greens/vitamin powder 2x per day, a tsp of organic apple cider vinegar before each meal, castor oil packs on abdomen every night, just began low-dose Naltrexone at bedtime last night. Happy to report Normans for past 4 days! Still struggling with extreme fatigue which in turn is causing some mild depression because I am normally very active, but otherwise feeling so much better. Just need to get my energy back so I can play with the toddler grandkids!

Hi Leslie,
It sounds as though you're responding well, and you're well on your way toward recovery. It takes a while for the fatigue to let up, but that too will fall by the wayside as your healing progresses.
Thanks for the update.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

Thanks, Tex and Terri! Saw my ND this afternoon and even she was astounded at how well I've responded after just 7 days of following her recommendations. She added B vitamins today, and some well blended spinach to the powdered supplement. Also working on interrupted sleep patterns, which probably help explain at least some of the fatigue. I've been waking nearly every hour through the night and rising at 5 am because I get tired of tossing and turning. Hoping to get some solid sleep soon!

I had the same problem with frequent awakening, but my main reason for getting up was because it was time to begin the early morning bathroom ritual for the day.Leslie wrote:I've been waking nearly every hour through the night and rising at 5 am because I get tired of tossing and turning.
