What's in Pesto sauce? I've been eating Prego GF tomato sauce with mushrooms (lightly) over Quinoa pasta and luckily have no issues with it but would rather find a substitute. What's your recipe?

Terri, pesto is traditionally a lot of basil, pine nuts, parmesan cheese, garlic and olive oil. Its chopped up finely. I've seen other recipes using walnuts or almonds and some with lemon juice. Deb

I'm sorry that so many of the board members have been sick. My brother just got out of the hospital after being sick with the flu for six days. This one's a bad one.

Gloria - yes, this is a bad one going around. I wasn't paying attention to the news on it until after I was hit with it and home ever since, which gave me time to notice it via TV, Internet, newspapers, etc.

Leah - I am wondering how well you are doing? Are you fully recovered from the flu? The one thing I questioned for you and also myself was that we were (I still am) coughing up "green" stuff. I am on day 5 of my flu today, so I am hoping in a couple more days it will be gone. I always thought if it was clear it was okay, but if it started changing to yellow or green that could mean there's more going on???

Hi Paula. After ten days , I am still coughing up green stuff, but I don't want to take antibiotics, so I will wait. The tiredness and chills have been gone for days though.

I make my pesto by putting basil, pinenuts or walnuts, garlic , and salt in a food processor, then slowly add olive oil. yum.
