Anyone tried ginger tea?

Post by Fish2575 »

I just need something, anything, with flavor to eat or drink, and I was thinking about making ginger tea. Does anyone drink this or have experience with it? I read ginger can help intestinal inflammation, but don't know if it is going to be too strong for me?

I have never tried ginger tea, but when I do have an upset stomach, I chew candied ginger (the stuff they serve with sushi) it works quickly, tastes wonderful and feels great on the stomach. I keep a jar at home and at work.

I would think ginger tea would be a nice drink....maybe with a bit of honey.

Hi Susie,

I love ginger tea and have no problems with it. I like the Triple leaf ginger tea in orange box from grocery store to which I add some chopped ginger.

I make ginger tea by cutting up some real ginger and heating it up on the stove for about 15 min. in water, then strain, add some honey and a tiny bit of real lemon juice. It is very soothing especially if you have a cold. Just don't overdo. A cup or two a day.
