CPK ands CRP tests

Post by gluten »

I have read many posts about fatigue and weakness and has anybody had a CPK test done. The test shows a enzyme from muscle. The high norm number is 200. The other test CRP shows inflammation level. In reading posts there are coments about extended bellies and I have had that problem. It has gotten much smaller following my current diet and have my MC under control. I am following a diet that is high in anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory foods, plus supplements and no drugs. When talking to individuals that have FSHD a form of muscular dystrophy everybody talks about the extended bellies and 95% have a G.I. "itis". One individual had a CRP level over 10 and has reduced it to 2 and is now gaining strength. Jon

Hello Jon, what was your CRP number and was it the high sensitivity CRP test HS CRP (there are 2 tests).

I historically have had a higher HS CRP (2.9 to 3.3) and that as I have addressed diet and in my case have needed some meds for Crohn's disease, have brought the numbers down and have gotten rid of my extended belly. It is amazing after we address our diets and eliminate the foods we are reacting to from our diets, that we see the signs of healing, our extended bellies subside and our blood test show we are begging to heal.

I have not had the CPK test run (recently) but I do know that when our bodies are dealing with foods that we react to, that we cannot tolerate and if we are having autoimmune reactions for whatever reson it can and does make us tired. Being tired is a good indication that we need to make sure that we have addressed our diets and that if needed we consult with our doctors to watch out for other health issues.

I believe a due to a bad bacteria imbalance (SIBO-small intestinal bacteria overgrowth) and food intolerances. My daughter has this problem right now!

I had abnormal tests for both when I was at my worst. I think all is close to normal range now.
