Hi Leslie. Wow, everyone really is on the same page here! I am going to be the one person who says that I do understand your NDs way of thinking. I was thinking the same thing when I got Dx with MC -"how will I get my greens and the antioxidants that go along with them?"
Just so you know- barley GRASS and the other GRASSES don't have gluten because they are the greens of the plant, not the grains. I don't know this particular product, but I do drink a green drink made from powder.. and have done so all the way through my healing. It's called CATIE'S Organic Gluten Free Greens. I am not saying you should try it, I just thought to say that the idea isn't totally out there. Honestly, I am just too lazy to buy all the raw ingredients, juice, and clean up the mess every day for juicing fresh ingredients. That's why I drink the powder. It just makes me feel healthier. Personal choice.... and maybe down the road you will re-visit the idea.

Thanks Leah. I understood that she was trying to give me more nutrients with the greens powder, and help digesting with the digestive enzymes, but I still don't feel she has an understanding of the diet component of LC. I tend to agree with Tex that anything with that many ingredients is probably not a good option for someone as newly diagnosed as I am. I would prefer to eat the few very well cooked veggies I can handle at this point, but I'm not against trying a greens powder after I have done more healing. I'm happy you have had such good results with the supplement you take! It is encouraging to know that may be a future possibility for me. I'm holding onto hope that I will be able to return to the more vegetarian way of eating I prefer sometime in the future. I have never liked meat, much, so I'm struggling to eat protein at every meal. Thankfully I don't seem to be having issues with eggs, so that helps. Very anxious to get my Enterolab results!
Leslie
