I'm glad you've identified lowering Entocort as the insomnia culprit. I don't think I've ever connected any sleep problems to Entocort, but we are all different.
I want some sort of butter and am wondering if anyone has had success with the seeds when they fail with nuts!
I'm not able to eat any nut butters or sunflower butter. Be careful not to get sunflower butter with tocopherols in it, because they can come from soy. Trader Joe's makes a brand of sunflower butter w/o tocopherols, I believe. I hope you can tolerate it. Your diet seems so minimal. I feel for you, especially being a mother of small children and having MC.

Thanks Gloria! I am on Flagyl right now, and it seems to be helping me eat more things. I made coconut milk yogurt a couple of days ago and have been able to eat that! I am sure you understand how amazing it is to add in a tolerated food!
I tried a little sunflower seed butter and did ok. I am sure I could not eat it frequently, so I will probably wait. Thanks for the tocopherols tip. Mine doesn't have anything but sunflower seeds and salt, but I will know to watch for it!
I'm glad you can eat coconut yogurt! I hope you can still eat it once you're off Flagyl. Good news about the sunflower butter, too.
There used to be quite a few of us who were interested in knowing how to make coconut yogurt. I can no longer eat coconut, but I'm sure some others would love to see your recipe.

I'm not sure lab tests my doctor did when he Dx'd me almost 6 years ago, but he ordered many different ones. When I still had problems a few years later (after going GF, DF, SF, EF and YF), I asked him to test for Candida. I was tested and it was negative, though I don't think my doctor thought it was a legitimate condition. He spent an hour trying to talk me into another colonoscopy during my last visit with him a year ago. I refused to get another one because I don't think he has a clue what's wrong and wanted to go "fishing."
I probably could look for another GI, but I seriously don't think many of them understand this condition.
I've never had cramps or pain with my MC, and I don't think I have malabsorption because my stools, when they're formed, look very normal. My blood work doesn't show any low levels, other than potassium, because I take supplements. I do only weigh 101 lbs., but I was beginning to increase my weight with the extra fruit in my diet. Since I've eliminated applesauce and fresh mango, I've lost what I gained. I've pretty much reached the "acceptance" stage of grief with MC. I'm past the bargaining stage, where we hope for a remission. It seems that for some of us, it won't happen. But I still live a pretty decent life. I just hope it includes a little fruit.
