Genetic Roulette

Post by jgivens »

I just finished watching an excellent documentary called Genetic Roulette. It was made in 2012 and if you hurry you can watch a free screening of it online tonight at http://www.responsibletechnology.org/po ... -screening. You can also purchase it for less than $20 at amazon. I was most impressed. It talks about how GMOs are causing terrible birth defects in humans and animals who eat GMO-laced food. It talks about digestive difficulties that it causes for some people (sound familiar) and the whole spectrum of autism disorders that GMOs cause. The great thing is that it talks about how once you get these things out of your diet, that many of these problems clear up.

It is so distressing to think that we are not only hurting ourselves but generations to come by what we put in our mouths.

Yup, I watched most of it last week. Disturbing to say the least. Imagine if GMOs are truly our smoking gun? I'm currently adjusting my modified Paleo diet to eliminate all non-organic corn, if not all corn. I'm not quite grain-free yet, but grains make up less than 10% of my diet (mostly from occasional Udi's bread and rice).

Someone told me once that organic food is not necessarily non-GMO. Guess I will have to do some research. I think GMO's are frightening, and the Feds are subsidizing their production.
