Lesley,
Thanks for that link. Read it...Like you I believe that everyone should be on Medicare. I am scared to death of getting sick and needing to go to a hospital. I don't know what I'd do, to be honest with you. I was hospitalized 2 years ago when I still had cobra. I lost my husband, lost my insurance, lost my health, lost my career---all in the span of 6 months. I've been mostly trying to gain my health back...
You've been to Europe and Israel. I never heard anyone over there worrying about health care. It's unheard of. It's not even a topic of discussion. Only in America.
Deb---thanks for that link. I'll look into it...

Monique, sounds like you have had some rough times of late. I'm sorry.
Have you been able to apply for Medicaid?
I'm finding out Medicare is not so great either. A number of doctors are not accepting us any more, and the care is starting to be pretty rationed. No good answers, I guess. With a country that can't pay its bills, I can only see the situation getting worse.

Jean,
thanks for your sweet note. Yeah, had a couple of rough years...roller coaster...
thanks for your concern. No, I didn't try Medicaid. I think you have to be pretty poor for that, like real poor..and too young for Medicare. Like the other 50 million who have fallen through the cracks.

So sorry you're having such a tough time. I hope things get better for you soon
My back totally failed right before I turned 65. Good old Blue Cross/Blue Shield refused to cover my lower back after my first husband died and our group insurance became single insurance. They shouldn't be allowed to do that and now they can't. I have never had a problem with Medicare, have had excellent doctors and would have been up the creek without it. Medicare is the only reason I can think of to be thankful for getting old.
