Hi, We did change her diet but at the time she was already getting daily fluid injections at home. She lived for a year with the daily water injections and she did not complain. The water injections had to be increased to two a day. When she having difficulty walking a decision had to made about how much pain she was in. It was clear that the food that had all the gluten caused her kidney failure. Jon
