MCT oil?

MCT oil?

Hi all. Does anyone know where MCT (medium chain triglycerides) oil comes from? My step mother gave me this info on MCT oil that can be mixed with coconut oil to keep it in a liquid form at room temperature. She bought a bottle on line. It claims to be derived from coconut oil and is used as energy and not stored as fat. The mixture is 16 oz. of MCT oil added to 12 0z. coconut oil.... she also puts it in one of those Misto sprayers so she can spray a cooking pan.

Hi Leah, MCT's come from coconut oil and palm oil. I found a good article to read about coconut. "Coconut: In Support of Good Health in the 21st Century" Just type that into a search engine. Jon
