Gift for Wayne

Post by Polly »

Hi Friends!

What do you say we send something to Wayne from the Potty People? I'll be happy to pay for it and send it off. But WHAT should we send? I don't think he does too well with fruit? Balloons? Any other ideas?

Love,

Polly

A planter with balloons is always nice for men or women. I personally like to send live plants because they allow the recipient to remember where they came from everytime they are looked at and of course last longer than live flowers.

I think the card should say from "Matthew and all your adoring women friends", just to get the doctors and nurses to ask tons of questions! Tee hee!!!!

Polly, you're a dear to think of doing that and I'm sure whatever you find will be wonderful! Thank you, from me!

Love ya,
Mars

Hi Polly. That's a wonderful idea. And I like Mars' suggestions - perfect. Also, if you send me a private message with your address, I would like to chip in on the cost. I'm sure others will as well.

Carrie

Hi Polly,

I think that is a great idea, and I would like to help you pay also. I also asked for Wayne's home address in a pm to you.

I also like the idea of the planter - maybe he can plant some Texas cactus in it when he gets home (teehee)

Hi Polly,

I agree with the planter and balloons. I also want to chip in and Peg will be posting a possible proposal later that we establish a "pot" for good causes.

I AM chipping in and nothing more about it. Will send after this crush at work is done. It is nuts here.

Love, Maggie

Polly,

Thank you so much for offering to do that, but I'd like to chip in as well, just tell me how much, ok.

Agreed -- great idea about the plant with balloons, and the "adoring women." I'll just bet that the florist would know just how to fix em up to look masculine if you look into that when ordering. Hopefully, there'll be something on the balloons that will fit Wayne to a "T."

One thought I had though is that we really don't know how much room there would be for plants and such in his room. Perhaps someone should check on that before something's picked out. Sure hope there's room for the plant and balloons though.

Just PM me the information, and I'll respond as quickly as I can.
Thanks again, Polly!

Yours, Luce

Thanks Polly!

Luce, there is always enough room as long as Wayne isn't in ICU--where nothing is accepted.

I think the plant is a great idea, & the message on the card even better  Nothing like a laugh to get you feeling better I always say. The 'pot' idea sounds good too. What with all the accidents & ops lately you don't know what will happen next with any of us. We all know that we care for each other but a card or gift of flowers etc. brings that feeling home to you.

Hi,

Please, count me in too - I will send money in the mail, Polly. Let us know how much you need - pm is a good idea.

I like all the ideas you've mentioned; after all it is the thought that counts but it's always nice to get a living proof that someone is really thinking of you, right!!

Karen

Thank you for making arrangements for a gift for Wayne, Polly. I'd like to contribute as well towards it, or some type of a fund we could start for occasions like this. I saw mention of a fund today and think it's a great idea.

I'm sure whatever is sent will lift his spirits.

Love,
Joanna
