Baclofen and more

Post by Lesley »

I got this from my GI today. At least he is trying!
Have you ever tried using Baclofen . It has proven effects to reduce reflux And Pain due to neuralgia ?
Thoughts?

I never know what a my flares look like. I don't know what causes reaction. I think the chicken ended a 6 day C "attack", but I can never be sure whether it is the food or the citrucel + Dr. Schultze's that I use. When I have gone for so long I add another of the good doctor capsules, and it usually helps. This time, though, it felt a bit different.
Now I am 4 days back into C, and getting shooting pains in my abdomen all the way through my gut, and, of course, am dealing with my constant fight with reflux, acid or otherwise.

I don't know what a reaction is - becoming more constipated, or the short D attacks I get when finally getting most of it out, usually ending with a couple of D movements.
It never looks like N. Until the D hits it is usually formed, shows some mucous, often thin, but not always, weirdly colored, containing food and so on and so forth, but what is causing it?
I DON'T KNOW

Baclofen might help to reduce the GERD problems, and since it helps to speed up gastric emptying, it might help with intestinal motility, also.

That might turn out to be the best suggestion he's come up with in a long time, but I'm not familiar with the drug, because I'm not aware of anyone who has used it.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

It's very familiar. I am sure I had it at one time or another. But maybe I will try it. If I can get off the PPIs I will be SO happy!
