good idea

I'd like to chip in, too. After you've done your purchasing, maybe count up how many people offered to help, use that number to divide into your expenditure, and email us all how much to send? Love, Marsha

Polly,
Holy cow! I haven't checked in here for a few days and am just now getting caught up on all the posts. Poor Wayne. What a hard time the poor guy has had. I think the gift idea is very thoughtful and I'd be happy to chip in too. Just let me know. I don't want to call him and bug him, but I would like him to know that I care.

Too bad they don't have a cowboy hat to place a live plant in to send Wayne's way...
Polly, please end me your address by PM and I'll be happy to chip in..
Also, if you don't mind send me your phone number. Somwhere along the line, I misplaced it!!!

If not a cowboy hat, then a cowboy boot should do nicely. Actually, I have a cowboy hat in pottery that would make a good planter, but I don't use it for that. Don't think you'll be so lucky to find either of those at a pharmacy, but ya never know.
Cute idea, the cowboy hat!!!

Yours, Luce

Well, I feel much better having just spoke to Wayne :phone: He sounds pretty dang good, all things considered.

I love the idea of the cowboy hat or boot. Let me know what I can chip in.

Love

This is a little late as you most likely came up with the best thing to send Wayne, but just wanted to say that I think it is a good idea. He seems to be the one that has been sending little gifts to lift people's spirits and also to cheer them up. So it is only fitting that he should be at the receiving end now.

It would be a nice idea to have a little fund set up for us to contribute to for cases such as we have had over the last few months. It is something that makes up a little different isn't it? The caring of others. Would there be some way to do this through the internet? I know that I can send money out from my bank account, and I have paypal set up, which is accepted at many internet stores. It will also changed the curency for me, my paypal account that is.

Some could contribute and might not be able to some times, but it would be a kind gesture appreciated by all. That way it would balance out, and not just one person putting out all the money. I would like to contribute in some way, it helps to feel like I am part of the group and contributing in some way even if I can't always come on here and post.

It is a delicate matter and I only am mentioning because so many did want to be part of sending something. Perhaps you might have a better idea. If so let me know.

Gentle hugs
WEndy

Hi Wendy....good idea! At work, we call it the Sunshine fund. We all give $10/year and then flowers are sent to people who are sick, lost a loved one etc.

Take care...JJ
