Thanks Tex,
I looked at the topic. It looks like they have expanded since my local Jewel store is supposed to carry the lager form (I'd prefer the lighter). Was wondering what people thought of it. I've read on the internet that some people CAN drink the light beers who have gluten issues with little to no problem.

She's only tried one... Redbridge and gave it a 7 out of 10.

I think I responded in the thread that Tex referenced. Omission is made in Portland, OR, by Widmer Brothers Brewing, not Anheiser-Busch and even here it is somewhat hard to find. It's great beer and I tolerate it just fine. The lager isn't too heavy and I actually prefer it to the Pale Ale. The Redbridge beer is OK, but nowhere near as nice as Omission.

According to your link, it's available in Chicago, IL, so if you enter your city on the "find Omission" tab, it should tell you where you can buy it.

Thanks everyone for responding. I don't like the 'ales'. I usually drink Miller Lite, so not so sure I would like these, but I might try them. I think Jewel is supposed to carry the darker lager.

I've never been a beer drinker or much of a drinker at all in fact, but I do like a bit of alcohol every now and again. Lately I have been drinking hard cider and enjoying it, probably enjoying it too much. My drink of choice right now is Woodchuck hard cider, which is gluten free. Here's what they say on their website:

Green Mountain Beverage has received numerous inquiries asking if Woodchuck Hard Ciders contain gluten. Due to these requests Green Mountain Beverage had each of the Woodchuck Hard Cider styles tested by ABC Research Corp., Gainesville, FL. We have received the analytical results confirming that all Woodchuck Hard Cider styles are naturally gluten free!

Hi Jean,

It's a small world....I used to work for the owner of ABC Research at his former company. He sold the former company and I was retained by the new company. My former boss who now owns ABC was great to work for. I'll have to see how much gluten testing they are presently doing. Brandy

Ok my opinion may be a little snobbish ...
Before MC I was kind of a beer snob.

Here in central Fl good beer is hard to find.
Went to my local ABC liquor.
Was pleased to find a few options, plus they have a build your own six pack
New Planet has a raspberry, light ale and an IPA.
Both the raspberry and light ale were just ok

I don't like IPA's so I did not buy one.

Please keep in mind I am kind of picky about beer.

Angry Orchard hard cider also states GF but have not tried it yet.

Still want to try Omission but not available in my area.

All I know is I can at least have a beer at a BBQ
God knows I can't eat a hamburger or hot dog, so drinking a beer
Will help me feel "normal"

I'm a beer lover (in moderation of course!) so I'm on the hunt for good GF options too. I give the Red Bridge a 6/10. I tried the Angry Orchard Cider last night and was pleasantly surprised. I give it a 8/10 - not too sweet, which I was afraid of. But, it is pricey.
