gmail is from google. It is free and you get a gig of storage and can send and receive HUGE files.
Think of it has a bigger hotmail without the spam. I have never gotten any spam/junk mail on any of my gmail accounts. Don't know how they do that...LOL
You can have mail forwarded from your gmail account to any other account. You can read it from your main account. If the mail is from friends you know well you can just answser from you main account. It you don't know the person or know them well enough to use your main account.. you just log onto the gmail account and answser from there...
