Pegster,

Barbaras advice sounds pretty good. I think I'll go take a bath.

Are you back to work full time now? Still wearing the collar and cast? How much longer will you need to use the collar? Do you have to sleep with it too?

Hope you get a good nights rest and feel ready to tackle the world tommorrow.

Love,
Joanna

Pegs you must be feeling it all these days. It also doesn't help with the rainly colder weather right now either. I still can't believe how bad you were hurt, it just goes to show you that you don't have to be bungy jumping or sky diving to get yourself hurt.

Big Gentle hugs coming your way, hope you get better and better days coming your way soon.

Thanks all.

Joanna, the cast is off as of Oct. 25, the neck brace came off Oct. 20. I did have to wear the brace 24/7 for about 6 weeks. I wasn't allowed to start physio until two weeks after the brace came off, have been doing that two weeks now. There was lots of trauma to the four breaks in the neck so physio is painful at this stage. I am back to work full time, but making sure I take at least one day a week off, this is week three back. They're treating me really well at work and I take a break (let's call that REST instead) every hour so I don't overdo at the 'puter and stiffen up.

The one thing I am doing that I really shouldn't be is driving - I can't shoulder check yet. At least I'm not driving far. :driving:

Re taking a bath...I can't tell you how much I appreciate being able to do that after it being such a chore for almost two months :bath: . AND washing my hands is such a pleasure! That was so hard to do with the cast on. It CAN be the little things!

Off to the grind...see you in a bit.

Love
Peg

Geez Peg...

Thank goodness the worst of your recovery is behind you- that's been a long process and certainly difficult and frustrating, not to mention painful.
(Ouch)

Don't ya go joining any indoor volleyball leagues this winter though!

I know what you mean about enjoying a good bath.

Have a glorious day! I'm so glad your feeling better.

Love,
Joanna

Peggy,
It really seems amazing to me that you are doing as well as you seem to be. Your injuries certainly sounded pretty horrible to me and I still hurt just thinking about it.

I am so very happy that you are doing so well, although I know you are still in pain, etc. It sounds like you are going to recover completely. Have they given you that info officially?

(((((((Peg)))))))

Shirley,

I guess I should have clarified that...silly me. The nuerosurgeon told me if I was going to break my neck I couldn't have done it any better! I will heal just fine and shouldn't have any complications from the four breaks. The bone in the wrist is off 8 degrees and I'll end up with a bump and that should be it.

Work is tiring, but I'm much happier to be here in pain rather than sitting at home watching daytime TV in pain :???:

And yes, baths are WONDERFUL

Love
Peg

It's a drag waiting for things to get better, but they will, Mom knows.

I wish it would be real soon and I'm sending you a whole bunch of healing ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ vibes

I'll be there to give you a gentle hug in person tomorrow.
