Enemas?

Post by Marie »

I was wondering if anyone here has ever used enemas to help soothe the colon, relieve D, eliminate bad bacteria & toxins?
I'd be interested what type of enema was administered if you have done so?

I've been researching this topic extensively and it seems like there is plenty of positives in receiving enemas. Many other cultures and past generations relied heavily on them for times of GI distress. Is it because there's no $$$ behind it for pharmaceutical companies that the idea isn't even toyed with, even if it could be extremely beneficial to so many suffering individuals???

Curious about your 2 cents on the topic! :)

Hi Marie, My PcP talked about a cortisol (or cortisone?) enema that she said people took to reduce inflammation. I never tried it. I went with my GI docs recommendations instead.

Eric posted (in Gabes post about the Immune system attacking good gut bacteria) that he had tried yogurt/kefir enemas. You can find that post just a couple of posts below yours on the main board.

take care,
Carol

Okay cool. I'm interested in natural enemas vs steroid-type ones. I'll read up on Eric's post. Thanks Carol!
