Hi Everyone,
I've been off the Budonsenide for several weeks. Now I find that I need some fiber or something. I am used to eating raisin bran every morning for breakfast (even before the MC to keep regular) and now since I'm on the GF Chex, it isn't doing the job. I'm afraid to change or add something fiberous without posting this for advice.
Is there a GF cereal that has bran or something that would be good for me to try? I don't want to upset the so-called 'apple cart' since I'm doing well. Thanks, Barb

Doing Good but need fiber now?
Diagnosed with Collagenous Colitis November 2012.
I'm also needing fiber being on prednisone, and I think vegetable and fruit fiber is your best bet. I like mine pulverized into smoothies to ease digestion, so I make smoothies with kale, flax meal, berries, apples, etc for extra fiber. I also make fiber bars from the carrot and beet pulp from juicing. Steamed broccoli and sauteed greens really agree with me too. Raw salads might be a rougher choice. I wouldn't seek out GF sources of fiber from grains. I suppose brown rice and quinoa would qualify, but grains are more likely to produce bothersome symptoms. Vegetable and fruit roughage should do the job.
