A while back I shared my struggles with vertigo. I finally got some testing done, and encourage others of you who struggle with this to get a referral to an ENT. Although I have to go back on the 15th for a more indepth discussion on my results, it appears I may have rocks in my head. ;) (Sorry, couldn't resist. This is my new joke. Seems what my mom always told me as a kid turned true.)
I'm assuming, from what the test lady said, I have BPPV. I also assume this might be autoimmune related as I've never had a blow to the head. She had me do some stuff--weird rolling, to hopefully move the rocks in the proper place. Right now it appears to have made me 10X sicker, but as my husband says, sometimes you get worse before getting better.
Anyway, just wanted to give a shout-out for the others who said they were struggling with this and again, to encourage you to see an ENT and ask for full testing. It only cost $348, although it took 3 hours. But if it resolves the issue, it will be well worth it!
The lady said she didn't think it was food related, but I did some online reading and found a man who linked his symptoms with gluten. It took a while for him to feel better, but eliminating gluten helped him greatly.
Vertigo--encouragement for other sufferers. :)

Morning Jennifer,
I am one of those sufferers - comes and goes. Did have the ENT testing done as well as neurologist and they ruled out the rocks for me. Could never really discern the cause but I have just learned to deal with it. Impacts my birding and the ability to go to the library and look for a book - turning head sideways to read titles puts me over the edge so now I use a chair and scoot it from shelf to shelf to prevent falling.
Love, Maggie

Vertigo
Hello to all of you. There are literally thousands of reasons for vertigo and / or dizziness. Some are due to the "rocks" or otoliths in your inner ear. Other reasons have to do with medications, chronic diseases, and even problems with your eyes being able to focus. I am a physical therapist who treats patients who have vertigo. Depending on the cause it could be a one time treatment or a series of treatments...again depending on the causes. Of course the problems associated with MC..dehydration, poor nutrition, overall weakness can cause dizziness as well. See if there is a therapist in your area who specializes in vestibular rehabilitation. The therapist, along with your doctor may be able to stop your symptoms. Good luck!
