I have used cornstarch this way also ( like for stir fry). I just toss cornstarch,salt, and pepper , and whatever herbs i want together. shake off and saute. It makes for a very crisp coating.

Jean, Lenny likes other women, just not me. According to Adam I am his last hold out. Since we are all living together it would really behoove him to start to trust me. I am alone with him a lot, and wold love to pet and play.
Sheila - I am using oats as you are using rice. But I didn't drop a lot of weight. I wanted to drop more than I have, but I don't want to put it back. However, I do want to start to heal, finally!
Lenny had been severely abused when we got him. He has issues, oh boy, does h e ever. But I see how he adores Adam, and how he warms to other people. OTOH none of them have been connected with huge disruptions in his life. I guess I carry on carrying on. When they move out I will get my own dog.
