Wayne got our gift

Post by Polly »

Hi All!

The flowers/balloon were delivered yesterday. We ended up sending a brightly-colored flower arrangement (including sunflowers) in a basket with a mylar get-well balloon attached. Wayne says they are really nice and wants me to thank everyone. They are definitely cheering up his room, he said. He also commented about the wording on the card ("from Matthew and all your adoring women friends") and said that his family wondered who we were! Tee Hee! I think he told them we are his other family.

Yesterday he started clear liquids but was only able to take in a little at a time. No wonder - he's eaten nothing for weeks! I told him his stomach has probably shrunk to the size of a golf ball.

Once they stopped the blood pressure medicine he has felt much better.
No word yet from the surgeon.

Love,

Polly

Thanks so much, Polly. Send out those PMs now. So many people wanted to chip in it will probably be like $1.50 each!!!!

Glad to hear he's feeling better and taking a little nourishment. Fingers and toes are crossed for good news.

 Glad he got the gift, and liked it.

 On no word from the Dr. I don't like that delay at all. Can't believe they don't know something yet. Starting to get angry with those guys. Taking this all too personally, I suppose, but I hate thinking of Wayne waiting so long to hear.

Hi Polly,

Thank you for taking care of sending a gift - I am glad Wayne likes it!! Please, DO remember to send a pm; I want to take care of my share.

Shirley, if we were there we would be pushing for some news from the surgeon, wouldn't we?! I don't think it is reasonable to have him wait so long for information - after all, it is HIS body. On the other hand perhaps it is a good sign; I think if it were cancer they would have had to react faster, don't you think?! I am really worried though.

Love,
Karen

Thanks Polly,

I'm glad he liked the flowers and card. I sure hope he hears from the surgeon soon, is it unusual to take that long? :???:

Thanks for the update. Hope he hears soon!!

Polly,

Thank you so much for arranging the gift from all of us! I can't put in to words how beautiful the arrangement Wayne sent me from everyone was, it made me feel really special when I felt soooo bad...I'll bet our Wayne feels the same.

Love
Peg

Polly,

I love that card message-that is SO funny! I'll bet he got a big kick out of it. Funny, about his family wondering about us. I'm curious if they knew about his involvment with the site.

Peg, I didn't even know we sent you flowers! That's Wayne for you, he's quite a guy isn't he? Glad they brought you some joy.

Well, hope today is a better day for him and he/we get word soon on the path report. I'm nervous about those results, but trying to stay positive.

Love,
Joanna
