Hi there, newbie here.

Hi, I'm Dunc. I was diagnosed with MC last month after experiencing symptoms for...oh, 10 years or so. I'm looking forward to learning some things, nodding my head while reading others' posts, and re-reading the favorite quote, Happiness is a dry fart. Made my day!

Welcome Dunc! We are a fun people who have seen a great deal of ugliness with this disease. If you have been reading posts, then you know that Tex's book is really very helpful.

:welcome: Dunc. Ten years is a long time to live with symptoms of MC, but not uncommon.

There's lots of good information here, and you'd be hard put to find a more supportive, caring group of people.

Hi Dunc,

Welcome to our internet family. We consider ourselves to be a family because no one truly understands this disease unless they have it, and here, every one of us understands it, all too well, so we have a unique bond. I hope that you can find the solutions that you're seeking here, so that you can get your life back.

Please feel free to ask anything.

Tex

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

Welcome Dunc!
Try to read other "newbie" threads. That is a good place to start.
Since you have been reading, you have probably noticed that diet is a huge part of getting better. Some of us have to use drugs to help us along, but the diet is the key to long lasting remission.
Ask away. we are here for you :)

Welcome Dunc,

I honestly don't know how people function for years with this disease and no diagnosis. I've heard it before but I don't think I would have survived it. My hat's off to you and others who had the will to keep going in the face of all those horrible symptoms.

Things will be looking up for you now that you've found this site. Feel free to ask anything.

Carol
