My new GI Doctor told me what caused my MC

My new GI Doctor told me he this my intolerance to Gluten is what caused my Microscopic Colitis not the other way around. Any thoughts?

Sure, if you were initially sensitive to gluten, and you continued to eat it, then it can definitely cause MC. Dr. Fine established that almost 15 years ago, but most GI docs refuse to believe it. Your doctor must be ahead of the rest of the pack. Good for him. :thumbsup:

Resolved MC symptoms successfully w/L-Glutamine, Probiotics and Vitamins, GF since 8/'09. DX w/MC 10/'09.

Isn't it sad when we all get excited over a gastroenterologist who is actually competent? Would we get excited over an orthopedic surgeon who knew how to set a broken leg or would we expect him/her to know how to do that?
