How is it that GI issues can cause shoulder pain? I've been experiencing a deep pain in my left shoulder blade area that comes and goes. More prominent when I'm under stress. It's almost impossible to sit comfortably when it's there. I remember reading bout it somewhere but when I googled it now I couldn't find anything worthwhile.
Anyone else have this?

Hi DebE,
Yes, I had that symptom frequently when I was reacting and when I was still recovering, but I don't have any idea what caused it. I had forgotten about that symptoms until you mentioned it. I can remember having it before my GI symptoms began, but I haven't noticed it since I've been in remission.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
I almost want to laugh- there are so many odd things with MC that no one else understands outside our world. I won't worry about it then. It just reinforces that I should just go to the turkey and rice diet and go from there. Obviously I'm still reacting to something in my rather limited diet. That should pinpoint whatever it is and I'm sure it's not just one food. I just have to mentally prepare for it because it will be a challenge. Hopefully I've healed enough for it to make a difference. I'm also concerned that the entocort may mask things but what did I have to loose- it can only get better. I'm back to one pill every other day. I was at every third day, had some crappy things happen with work and threw me off. We sure are a strong bunch... Just get back up and keep going because no one else can do it for us.
