Vacation success story!!

Post by CathyMe. »

Hi All,
I just got back from a week in Jamaica and wanted to share my success. I have been off all meds for months with normans but was anxious about this trip and food, etc. I brought a supply of GF rice cakes and the bagged tuna fish so that I could eat something in the airport. Our hotel had a great buffet for all meals that always included steamed/boiled veggies! I was in heaven and ate tons of cabbage, carrots, zucchinis, etc. in addition to a huge salad at lunch and dinner. I stayed away from the fish and meats as it was usually covered in something. I continued to have normans every day we were there! I am so happy as this was a huge step and the last time we went on vacation to Mexico I was in an active flare and felt terrible the whole time.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
