as i've posted elsewhere here, i had a laparascopy last week. it revealed an adhesion that was removed. for the first week or so after the surgery, things felt fine--i even thought they felt better, less pain than before.
and now i am in a LOT of pain the the same spot as the adhesion. it is sharp, kind of burning, pulsating--does that make any sense? it is worse when i move--to get up from sitting or laying down; when i try to laugh or cough, etc.
i don't know if that is normal after the removal of an adhesion. the doc who did the laparascopy was an OB-GYN, not the GI doc. he said he saw a whole lot of inflamation on the outside of my colon, and took pictures. my husband who saw the pictures said it looked like red, swollen spheres. that totally sounds like diverticulitis, no?
Tex's question about diverticulitis as my diagnosis made me research it. and not i don't know what to do. i am in pain. i have a follow-up with the OB-GYN on Monday, but he is obv not an expert. Do i call the GI doc? (the same one I kind of hate). Do i try to go to an Urgent Care place? do i just wait to see the GYN on Monday?
in so much pain-diverticulitis? help?
