Short term disability......work issues help !!

Post by Bama12 »

Tex had mentioned before that MC is considered a disability.
I have been out of work because of my symptoms, weight loss and weakness.
My GI doctor has not released me back to work yet.
But I was told today that my STD claim has been denied and I will
Need to write an appeal letter.
I was hoping someone could help me find Social Security Disability info
About MC that I could print from home and include with my appeal letter.

Completely stressed out

Please help

Hi, There is a post called "Legal Victory". It was posted about two weeks ago. You can find it by scrolling through the Main Message Board. How much muscle weakness do you have? Jon

I struggle to stand for long periods of time.
My work is retail and requires about 8 hours out of 9 standing.
I lost 35 pounds since my MC started and feel that much of it was muscle.

Hi Lynn,

There's some information that might be helpful in the two threads at the following link. The second one contains a quote of the parts of the law that relate to this, that you might want to print.

Also, if you happen to have a copy of my book available, this is discussed on pages 184–187.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
