Jordan's Heart Murmur

Post by Mars »

Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD) is what she has. It is a small "hole" in the heart between the left and right ventrical. Most outgrow it during childhood or their adolescence.

Right now there are no restrictions on her except being given antibiotics before a dental appointment to prevent her from getting a blood infection. If she were to get an infection in her blood it would likely go to the murmur.

Checkup in one year and that's it! Good news.

How long has she been suffering with that problem?

I knew that MURMURS could be resolved on their own----
are murmurs always a *hole* --I didnt know that--

I always knew them to be a slight *purring* sound

I think thats what set off my MCC---cus my RETIRED GP---said I had MVP and for years I was always taking antibiotics while having dental work dont---which @ one point I had megga work done and then I find out I DONT have MVP----just a slight murmur???
Could the 2 be related???
I know that all my test for MVP were negative but GP insisted I had MVP!!

UFF---
sending best wishes to Jordan---

VSDs are not uncommon and it likely will heal itself. Great news! I was wondering if you had heard anything. Thanks for the update.

 Sure glad it's not something worse, Mars!!! Murmers seem to run in my family but as far as I know they haven't caused any real problems.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
