I think you mentioned in another thread that your Ob-gyn did the surgery. That's likely why he didn't realize your pockets were diverticulosis. A GI would have recognized them right away. The pockets are like little balloons in the colon and are usually very obvious from the inside. Mine are easy to see.

Thanks, guys. Feeling a bit better. Taking the pictures to the gi doc on Tuesday morning.
It was an OB GYN who saw it. He is a great doc in his field, known for great surgeries and c sections, but he did admit he knew little about digestive issues.
On the phone the gi doc seemed almost annoyed that an adhesion was removed because in his view, adhesion removals like other surgeries, can only lead to more adhesions. He even said something like I can remove part of your colon and possibly rid you of colitis, but you may have other adhesion issues then......
