GULP: Adventures on the Alimentary Canal by Mary Roach. I have read others of her books, and she takes a very interesting approach to scientific topics.

Gulp has me very interested. My friend (a biology teacher for gifted high school students) just purchased it. If I don't break down and buy it for myself, I may borrow her copy. It sounds fascinating.
