After being GF since late November and reducing the budesonide which I finished today, I decided on Friday to deliberately challenge myself with gluten. You know that sense of "am I really intolerant?" So I ate a sandwich with ordinary wholemeal bread - just two slices. That was at lunchtime and nothing happened until the following morning, 21 hours later, when I then had 7 BMs all BSC 6! Even this morning I was still at 6 although only two BMs. So I guess I am definitely gluten intolerant!!
Hopefully I will be fully recovered by tomorrow and I will stay off gluten!

Totally agree Gloria! I am glad I tested it though because I finished budesonide yesterday and I may well see things go downhill due to other, yet to be identified, intolerances - at least I now know for certain that gluten and I have parted company permanently. My plan is that if I begin to show symptoms I am going to get York Testing done which is a simple blood test that can be done at home but which a lot of medics here have endorsed as highly accurate. I am attaching a link for those interested.
