That's very true. Stress greatly increases the odds of developing autoimmune-type diseases, and that includes childhood events. I touched on the effects of childhood trauma briefly in the last chapter of my book, which discusses the role that stress plays in the development of MC and other autoimmune-type diseases.

with the combo of, genetics, stress during childhood and sickly childhood... autoimmune issues was a definite!

This is very interesting as my beautiful baby girl was sexually abused as a child. I found out later on... both of our digestive systems are a wreck. I believe she has an autoimmune disease as well as myself... we're both being checked on this.
