Giardia triggering colitis

I have recently been diagnosed with lymphocytic colitis. I have no food related allergies or reactions. My LC flared up for the first time (I think) after a recent bout of giardia (thanks to my sweet grandbaby who was adopted from the Congo). Curious as to how many on this board have had LC flare up due to giardia or any other parasitic illness.
