Hi Wayne and Welcome Home!!
I am so glad to hear you are home and please do take it easy. Anything needing to be done can be done later. You need your rest.
I am sure you got a lot of strange looks on the flowers and balloons. So sorry I have not got a card out yet, but the work hours are slaughtering me.
Will get to it and in my heart I have sent you one.
Love, Maggie

Welcome Home Wayne!
What a trooper to still find humor in the situation! I'm glad to hear that you are not requiring much in the way of pain medicine. If you are doing without now, its unlikely that you will find you need them down the road. Of course, I always find there are a few days where twinges get worse...sort of that last stage of a wound healing almost hurts more. I expect it has to do with wakening nerve endings and stiff scar tissue. But anyways, sounds like you are doing as well as can be expected if not better.
But seriously, listen to your body (thats what they keep telling me). Being patient now will save you lots of time on the end of your recovery. Irritating or opening up surgical wounds now by overdoing will only slow things down. I know about the boredom, but you'll manage...I'm managing too.
Keep us posted.

Jaco, a parrot in Salzburg, could not only speak but seemed to understand grammar. Whenever his person left, Jaco would say "God be with you." But when several people were departing, Jaco would change it to "God be with all of you."

Thanks everyone,
I really appeciate all your kind words, and helpful advice. I'm up and around again, this morning, (the body has a way of forcing one to get out of bed, and take care of business, doesn't it), but I don't think you have to worry about me trying to slay any dragons, yet. It doesn't take much to tire me out, at this point, so I think I'll just sit back in my cave, and play with the computer, and maybe snooze a little.
Luce,
That was a cute post, as Polly mentioed. And yes, I did indeed notice the clear, blue, star-filled Texas sky, when I went to bed last night. It was a beautiful sight, and a perfect ending to a long day.
Karen,
The bags ARE disposable, but since they have to be emptied, and cleaned, before removal, it's much more practical to use them for a while. They are glued on, (I always wondered how they worked), since a perfect seal is required, on a flexible surface, (skin). It takes a lot of time and effort, to clean up the area to prep it for another bag, so they are normally changed twice a week.
Love,
Wayne

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
Hmmmmmmm!
Ok, I can take a hint, and I think I might see one there, so I promise to behave myself. (What choice do I have? I can't run at all, right now. LOL).
Love ya,

Absolutely no smoking is allowed at Scott & White, by anyone, anywhere on the property. The only exception is inside private vehicles, so everyone who smokes, goes out to their car, and breathes concentrated tobacco smoke. That really sounds like a healthy solution, doesn't it. I guess they intend to get rid of smoking by killing off all the smokers.

P S I can't remember when I last smoked a cigar, but it's been over two weeks--just haven't felt inspired. Sigh.

Wayne,
So glad you are home and enjoyed those stars Lucy mentioned. They are really something. We were camping in Texas for 2 weeks and it was amazing to see those stars every night. I live in a city and we can only the brightest ones.
I hope you are feeling better each day and are mastering that new bag-related skill. I guess your ears must have been burning when you were in the hospital, as you have been a hot topic!
Congratulations on not smoking for 2 weeks. That was when I quit, when we were told at work that we had to go smoke in our cars. Ycccch.
Well, keep up the good recovering work!

home, Wayne!!!
I am so happy to know you´re back and feeling better.
But take it easy, my friend. My husband usually says: do not try to eat the whole cake at once, but little by little....
It´s good to have you back and so positive.
We missed you a lot.
Take care, Wayne, amigo mío.
Love,
Tessa

Hi Tessa,
I agree with your husband. I'm happy to find that I'm able to eat a bigger slice every day.
Love,
Wayne
