I know what you mean about the fat, but with me, it's certain fats. i can eat avocados, olives, olive and coconut oil just fine, but if i have too much chicken skin or canola oil , i get D. So random.

With me, it appears to be all fat, so I wonder if I have something else going on, besides the LC.

Sidney,

I'm so sorry that you lost your dear pet. You seem to be having an extra-difficult time with your MC. I hope that going off the Rebif gives you some reduction in your symptoms and allows you to eat more.

Have you tried making chicken soup? Many of us have found soup to be very soothing and the broth is healing to the intestines.

Thank you, Gloria. It hurts so deeply, because Kia would most likely not have died, if my Vet had checked her that day. My girls were my children, and my life revolved around them for 17 years.

Yes, I am having a very difficult time with my MC.

I have followed all of the wonderful advice here, taken my medicatins, and yet, I can barely eat anything.

Tonight was my final Rebif injection, until I see my MS Specialist. Most likely, she will drop me as a patient, for being "non-compliant", but what good is treating the MS, if I waste away due to MC?

I don't do the cooking, (the nerves in my spine burn so severely when I sit or stand) but maybe my husband can make me some GF chicken noodle soup. Thank you so much for the suggestion.

That's one of the common characteristics of many specialists that bothers me — it's their way or the highway. They don't understand special needs of patients, so many of them are unwilling to devote any time to developing a customized treatment program to treat the needs of those patients. IOW, apparently their brain is only capable of considering one autoimmune-type disease at a time, and/or they're making too much money to "waste" their time catering to the special needs of a few patients.

Please remember that if you add noodles to the chicken soup, they need to be gluten free noodles. I ate a lot of chicken and rice soup back when I was still having bad days, since I didn't have GF noodles available.

Tex,

I agree with you 100%! But, I finished my last injection of Rebif last night, and if the D improves, and she still objects to me discontinuing the Rebif-well, I guess it's the highway for me.

I need to be able to eat, and regain my weight.

Rich went out for GF noodles a little while ago. Really looking forward to the soup.

You may find that as your digestive system heals, your MS symptoms may also diminish. Let's hope so anyway, because many of us here have seen significant improvement in other autoimmune issues as our GI symptoms fade away.

Sydney, I am so sorry about your little Kia. I have a couple little affenpinchers now, but lost my shih tzu a number of years ago and remember being so broken-hearted. Dogs are such a special gift.

I vote for homemade chicken soup too. I did best without gluten free noodles or rice in mine, but soft carrots and celery seemed to be fine. I had it every day when I was at my worst, and I thought it had healing powers. Even, if it didn't, it felt very comforting. I also like making smoothies with bananas and berries, and dairy-free milk. I usually add some flaxseed oil for extra calories and omega 3's. Maybe if the fat is in a smoothie, it might be easier to tolerate?

I hope things get better soon and that you start to feel better.

Tex,

I've been reading that people with MS, that eliminate gluten, experience fewer exacerabtions.

So, it may turn out that I don't need the Rebif.

Thank you, Jean I am so sorry that you lost your little ShihTzu. I lost my Sweet Sydney 2 years to the date, before I lost my little Kia. I miss my girls so much! They were truly a special gift from God.

I have a friend that Shows her Yorkies, and she and another lady are waiting for a beautiful little female to come into heat, and if she has a few puppies, I "might" get one.

Rich couldn't find GF noodles. We live in the sticks. But, he bought Tinkyada Penne Pasta.

I like the sound of your soup, with soft carrots & celery.

So far, I have tried Almond Milk, and it gave me severe D. And, I can't have soy.

My digestive system won't tolerate any fat yet.

But, I eat banana's and unsweetened applesauce.

Thank you, Jean-I hope things improve soon, too.
