Hi Kari,
Thanks for sharing! I have a Red Robin near me and I enjoy their lettuce wrapped burgers and fries. I like that the kids meals include fruit and veggie options too.
I'm preparing for a road trip tonight to western VA for my son't first all-star baseball tournament. We'll be staying at a Courtyard by Marriott, which I think has a fridge and mini-kitchen. I'm planning the cooler items now, mostly for snacking -- Canyon Bakehouse breads, hardboiled eggs, natural beef jerky, fruits, homemade salad dressing, non-GMO chips, lots of safe snack bars, yogurt and fruit leathers for the kids, and almond/coconut milk. And GF beer for my husband of course!
Since my daughter and I can't have soy, we use Safflower mayonaise.

Terri - glad you're also able to enjoy Red Robin:). Since the chain is mostly corporate owned, I think the secret to their success with food intolerances is that the staff is trained well. I have never had a server that seemed clueless, and the managers are always super helpful. Good to hear from you Terri - hope you're doing well!!!
Zizzle - my 3 grand-children love Red Robin - they have a great kids menu, but only the oldest one will eat the fruit (which she loves). All 3 of them are gluten free, which makes it much easier to deal with. Since I have double celiac genes, we tested them at Enterolab, and they all tested sky high for gluten. The fact that my son started having auto immune issues similar to mine, and tested positive for gluten, made it a no brainer for the family to go GF. Hope you have a great road trip - sounds like you have it planned out well!!!
Love,
Kari
