Guess what I have been cooking?

Post by Lesley »

Chicken and rice! No, not for me. My little Licorice. I took her out for her walk and saw horrible mucousy stools. She had a couple of accidents in the apartment as well. And she got car sick when I took her with me to buy chicken to cook for her. So she is feeling a lot like I do.
Who more than me could understand how she felt? So now she's eating chicken and sticky rice. And she loves it!

Funny, my neurotic son got the most neurotic dog in the world, and I got the car sick one with stomach issues!

Lesley, Licorise is indeed lucky to have you. I like her name. I have two black fur babies (cats). Their names are Salem & Sable.

"They" say that pets mirror their people. But my dogs have perfect poos all the time so that can't be true. LOL

Lesley, here's hoping that Licorice's digestive issues are very temporary. Maybe something was just too rich for her young digestive tract. She's lucky to have a knowledgeable owner like you.

LOL! Lucky to have me because I know what abnormal poo looks like? Funny! I don't know

Since Licorice has not been feeling well she is hiding in all the tiny cracks and crevices in the apartment. She seems to feel more comfortable there if she is not on my knee being petted or played with. If I can't find her I go out of the apartment into the hall, close the door and open it again. She is out of her hiding place like a shot to see where I've gone and why she isn't with me.
I hope when she is better that she comes into the open again!

I am hoping she hasn't picked up a parasite on our walks.

Your post made me laugh, Lesley. I know, it isn't really funny but you are right, she got the perfect Mommy. Your vet will probably want a stool sample if the D and mucous continues. I hope the chicken and rice diet does the trick. My Rosie has perfect Normans, easy to pick up and that is much appreciated.
