Back... again! I might stay longer this time!

Post by natythingycolbery »

Hello one and all,

It has been way to long! How are we all?

I always seem to forget about this site until I look through my favourite sites and rediscover you.

I have a lot of random good and bad news to share with you all, thankfully the majority of it is good. But this also may be a long post, so if you don't want to read it all you don't have too!

So, lets get the not so good news out the way....

My lovely grandad is really unwell at the moment, he is currently having treatment for cancer, which they decided to tell him he had on his birthday! However it is all looking treatable and he is about to start radiotherapy. He has a few other medical issues at the moment as well which they are hoping to deal with soon.

In other sad news, I will not be graduating this year, this is due to the fact my Mental health decided it couldn't quite deal with working on my uni work and my grandad being ill. Although I did eventually get back on track, my Doctor Who dissertation didn't get me the mark that everyone expected, so I am applying to sit that again along with a few other essays to help boost my mark.

Now lets have some positive news....

I applied for and got offered a place on a Masters at my university, however I need to average 60% or above which I currently am not, but I'm allowed to deffer my place to try and boost my grade.

I have aquired a tattoo which says 'If you don't know where you are going, any road will get you there' because this sums up my attitude to life.

I almost did a presentation at university, but my tutor took pity on me and stopped me.

I am also looking for a new job when I go home this summer, I am sick of being mocked by foods that I can not eat.

And importantly, the MC has been kept under control for a long long time! I have had the odd day where I have thought it was coming back, but I'm keeping it under control.

So, that is all the news, hopefully I will be in and out of here more often.

Hi Katy! It's nice to see a post from you and read that your MC is under control. I hope you can finish your schooling and graduate - you are so close, so I'm sure you'll make it to the finish line.

It's good that Grandad's cancer is treatable. Keeping my :xfingers: that he'll be a survivor.

Hi Katy,

After the stress lets up somewhat you'll find it easier to finish your work at the university. And that's definitely good news that you're able to keep your MC under control.

Thanks for the update,
Tex

So sorry about granddad but glad it is treatable. Also, great news that you have the MC under control - that is a feat in itself. Uni work will get done but at a pace you can deal with. Glad to see you back.

Love, Maggie
