I stumbled upon this article while I was lurking on the Mayo Clinic website then did a search and realized you guys were right on the ball as soon as this article hit the street. Even though the info is a year old thought it would be helpful for those considering Entocort, on Entocort, and contemplating taper off of Entocort. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT ANYONE IN ANY OF THOSE STAGES READ THIS ARTICLE, PARTICULARLY THE SECTION LABELED TREATMENT OPTIONS.

I do have a question. Don't board certified GI docs have some kind of professional code of ethics to both stay current and also disclose the "high incidence of relapse after taper" information when writing prescriptions?

It's been 8 weeks since my last Entocort pill and I urge readers to stack the deck in their favor and go G.F.

Jazi, here is mayo clinic article if u need to show your doc, mayo has no problem with patients being on entocort 6 months or for some 12 months. See treatment section. Sorry this is short but im working on my netbook out of state. Brandy

Hi jazi, docs typically aren't keen on on line support forums, u may get further by not mentioning us and just say you were googling microscopic colitis, good luck brandy(in airport)
