Other than not being able to sleep at all, the night was uneventful, so I'm waiting for the initial phone traffic to die down, so that I can schedule an appointment.

Thanks for thinking of me.

Love,
Wayne

Hi tex!

Just saw your post to Luce about the bloody discharge. RATZ and DOUBLE RATZ. Of course, this is not an unusual sequela, but you sure didn't need it. Glad you are going right away to have it checked out and to get an antibiotic if needed. Do you have a probiotic on hand? Maybe you should pick one up if not. I'll check in later to hear about your appointment. Take care now, you hear?

Love,

Polly

Thanks, everyone!

Polly,

I really don't know of a safe, effective probiotic, because of my sensitivity to lactose. While I was hooked up to the IVs, they were giving me some sort of antibiotic from the "illin" family, without any apparent issues. I'll make sure that they are aware of the colitis and/or C-dif risk.

I guess I'd better review what I wrote about antibiotics in the "Meds" forums, to re-familiarize myself with that information.

Love,
Wayne

Wayne,
I'll be praying that it won't be serious and won't develop into anything serious. Wish your recovery could have been uneventful, but it seems like nothing goes as it should sometimes.

I pray the antibiotic won't upset your applecart too much!!!

No fair for you to have this problem at Thanksgiving time!!
