I do have one more question though - I know I need vitamins but which way do I go - a good multi vitamin or just specific?

That is very personal. While you are having D, you probably aren't absorbing too much of anything. I stopped taking everything until things settled down and I was down to 1-2 BMs a day. Having said that, many of us need extra D, B, and fish oil . Whatever you decide, make sure you read what is in the "inactive ingredients". There could be hidden gluten, lactose, or soy. Actually, that goes for everything you put in your mouth.
