Did anyone have weird poops after going gluten free?

Most members here don't have this problem, but Imodium causes dizziness for me. After taking a half a tablet, dizziness is enough of a problem to be distracting, but I can still function. If I take an entire tablet, it makes me very dizzy. I have no idea what 3 would do, because I stopped using it after I figured out what was making me dizzy.
This might not be your problem, because most people don't have this problem, but I thought that I should mention it, just in case it's connected. And of course, if it causes constipation, then that can cause dizziness, also.
Some members have found that their insurance companies will pay for those tests, but they seem to be slow to change, so most insurance companies still will not pay for the EnteroLab tests. If our doctor orders the tests, the insurance companies are more likely to be willing to pay for the tests, but doctors are very slow to catch on to these tests, also.
I hope that you find the book to be very helpful.

When I was really in the throws of this disease, I had severe dizziness as well as other symptoms (pains in my arms, legs, behind my eyes, and a rapid heart beat). besides the D, belching, pain around my heart, and stomach pains.
I'm in remission now, but looking back, I was so sick and so scared. It was hard (and still is) for me to believe CC was what caused all those issues. I really thought I had something major wrong with me, which caused stress, which I'm sure brought on more issues. No doctors had any answers. (I went to several). I stayed in that stressful state from August 2010 until I found this site at the beginning of this year.
Are you for sure you aren't getting gluten contamination from any source? It took me the longest time (actually finding this site) to realize the implications of even getting it in the smallest amount causes major issues. And as I said, for me, stress didn't help matters either!
The Pepto Bismol protocol helped me more than Imodium ever did.

You're welcome! I can't tell you how badly I wish I had found this group sooner! I really got well fairly quickly once I started reading posts, asking questions, and taking control of my diet. I am one of the lucky ones on here that has responded well and quickly to diet. Again, I also responded well to the Pepto Bismol protocol. I had found on my own that Pepto Bismol was helpful with my symptoms, but when I read about others on here taking 8 pills a day, I was excited to try it. I only did it about 2 weeks before I found myself reducing the pills and 2 weeks more before stopping all together.
I hope you will be able to do the Enterolab tests. It was the final piece of the puzzle for me.

I had a lot of problems with dizziness (age 51) when MC hit. The first two months was intermittant dizziness. That was followed by 3 months of dizziness from dawn till dusk. Saw 4 different docs from different specialties. No one tied it out to MC. I wasn't till I found this forum and there was conversation that "dizziness" could be a reaction to a food that I started to figure things out.
If you havn't already done so eliminate the following, gatorade, sports drinks, sugar, high fructose corn syrup, juice, apple juice, orange juice, fruit etc--basically anything sugary. (I did ok with stevia in my tea)
My next comments will be somewhat individualistic. Take a hard look at the grains that you are eating---rice, white potato, sweet potato, and corn products, and rice pasta. (Stay away from quinoa for now)
Try 3 days of eating the same grain as a side. i.e. 3 days of your proteins, overcooked veggies and white potato as a sides, next three days do sweet potatos same thing as your sides, next three days corn products,
etc. The goal is to see if one or two of the grains gives you less dizziness or no dizziness. For me I had extreme dizziness from quinoa, corn, moderate dizziness from rice, and nominal dizziness from white potato and sweet potato. Eliminate the foods that cause extreme dizziness and stick to the ones that are minimal to no dizziness. For me that means I eat mostly white potato and sweet potatoes as sides and some rice pasta.
Another thing that helped was moving starches to my evening meal. Breakfast was a protein and overcooked veggie, lunch was protein and overcooked veggie, snack was protein and overcooked veggie, dinner
was protein, overcooked veggie and the safer starch/grain. THIS MADE A HUGE DIFFERENCE WITHIN 3 DAYS. I was no longer dizzy during the work day! I still got some moderate dizziness after dinner but then I slept it off and woke up with no dizziness.
