It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

Thank you all.
I want to share I got the BEST birthday gift ever. This afternoon we had an appointment with my husband's cardiologist and electrophysiologist (doc specializing in electrical problems of the heart). After reviewing his latest CT scan and today's EKG the docs told him his atrial fibrillation is GONE!! His heart is pacing itself and staying in sinus rhythm. Now he can stop the blood thinners and the next step will be to titrate the channel blocker in a few months.
I didn't realize how much this was weighing on my until we were out in the parking lot and it hit me-- he's done. The surgeries worked!! This all started for us the first week of October, culminating in 4 hospitalizations in 2 hospitals, 3 cardioversions, 2 surgeries (one with a crisis that resulted in 8 days in ICU), an unexpected pacemaker procedure and numerous tests and meds in between.
So there was a great deal to celebrate at our house. I am really relishing having some good news to share!
thank you all for the birthday wishes.
