A Message from Alice

Post by Polly »

Hi All,

Just had an email from Alice - the board won't let her log-in for some reason. She wanted me to let you know that her dad died last night at age 94 after struggling with a couple of illnesses.

Alice, you were a wonderful daughter and did so much for your dad to make him as happy and comfortable as possible in the past few years. It sounded as if he was not happy with his quality of life, and hopefully he did not experience much physical pain at the end. Now he is with your mom.

With love and deepest sympathy,

Polly

Thanks Polly.

Alice,

If you log in I would like you to know that you did everything possible to make your dad's life comfortable and hopefully his life up to before he got so bad at the end was a full and happy one.

I am sending good thoughts and sympathy from both Frank and I and please do take care and remember - as Polly said, you were a great daughter.

Love, Maggie

:flyingdoveleft: May he enjoy his life with the angels.

Alice,

You have my deepest sympathy. As has already been said, no one could have done more than you, to help his quality of life, while he was with us, here on earth.

Regarding your log-in: be aware that your password is case sensitive. You are listed as active, so you should be able to log in. If you're absolutely sure that you are entering your password correctly, and it still won't let you log in, you may have to let it assign you a new password, and use that to log in. Once you are logged in, be sure to go to your profile, and change the password to whatever you want.

Love,
Wayne

Alice,

I am sorry to hear about your Dad. But I know how ill he has been too. He is in a better place now and had a very long, love filled life thanks to you and I'm sure the rest of your family.

Take care of yourself, and get the rest you need after being responsible for him since he moved closer to you.

Love,
Katy

Alice so sorry to hear of your dad's passing...but what a long and full life he had, and what a wonderful daughter and caregiver you have been! I'm sure you were a great source of comfort to him. May the thought that he is now reunited with your mom bring you comfort and peace...

It will be a hard holiday season for you - I'm sure - know that you are in our thoughts and prayers!

Love,

Mary

Hi everyone,

Thanks for your replies and words of condolence. It means a lot to me to have you all as friends. It was a blessing to be able to be with my dad when he was sick. Now that he's gone I'll be able to chat with you more, as in the past. Of course, I'll miss him.

I figured out that I wasn't using caps to log in. My mistake! :mallet:

Dear Alice,

My sincere condolences. I can tell you loved your father very, very much, and that it was a special time you had with him toward the end. While you miss him terribly, I'm sure it's a relief knowing that he's now free of suffering.

Do keep us updated on how you're doing in the coming days, please.

Love, Luce
