Linda's MRT results

Post by ldubois7 »

Red:
hops

Yellow:
acetaminophen, crab, green pea, leek, lentil, millet, MSG, oat, papaya, salicylic acid, sweet potato

This hardly makes sense to me. I reacted to all 11 foods on the Enterolab testing in early April.

What's going on????

Linda,

I have not done MRT testing so everything I am about to say is just what I have learned on this forum. MRT uses an entirely different method for determining food sensitivities than Enterolab does so it may not pick up things that the Enterolab test picks up. A positive Enterolab results always trumps the MRT results. The MRT results only suggest further foods you may have to eliminate.

Hi Jean! How are you today?

Yes, I have eliminated all the foods from Enterolab testing, but still felt there was more that I was missing. With further investigation I found that hops are in the hemp family. I use hemp protein powder in the mornings! And the salicylic acid is high in some of the foods I eat, such as blueberries. turmeric, rosemary, thyme, macadamia nuts & spinach, as well as cosmetics.

So, now I need to balance the high histamine foods with the ones that have high levels of salicylic acid, and it's overwhelming right now. I just need to sit down and make lists of safe foods, then start all over again with my diet.

It's exhausting...... :(

Linda,

I tried Hemp powder once and it caused a pretty severe reactions. That was a few years ago before I joined this forum. I threw the rest out and swore off all protein powders. I am eating low histamine but not low salycilic acid. I eat blueberries and macadamia nuts. I think I am ok with them but I'll keep it in mind.

It can be exhausting but I have found that by accepting the fact that the number of foods I can eat is limited and that going out to eat is a bad idea, I do alright. You are working at this so I am sure you will figure it out. I've got it down so that I don't have to think much about it any more. Keep it simple is my mantra.

Jean
