Is Gatorade considered safe?

Wish I could tell you. The only time I've had Gatorade was as a prep for colonoscopies. And we know what happens then :/

Gatorade has a very high sugar content, which by itself is a good reason to avoid it. Plus there is always a long list of ingredients which makes it suspect. It is always better to stick with simple foods and drinks. Many of us just drink water.

Sometimes my blood sugar drops in the middle of the night and I need something fast, that's the only time I would drink it.

I am no expert on this but I do know that to raise your blood sugar any kind of sugar will do. I would try to find something that did not have all those additives like gatorade does which could cause potential problems, maybe some kind of plain fruit juice (apple juice?) or even a spoonful of plain sugar. I once made some homemade ginger ale which was pretty good and very easy or you could buy some all natural organic soda which tends to have a short ingredient list. You want to try not to correct one problem by creating others.
