Craniobiotic Technique - way of healing ??

Post by humbird753 »

Hi -

I recently had a lengthy (2 hr) discussion with a doctor I met at the end of a golf game. The conversation was initially regarding what is in the foods (gluten, GMO, chemicals and antibiotics, etc.) He then shared the downfall of his health and what he called a "living hell" over the course of the next year from the onset of his symptoms. Although he said his body does not tolerate wheat, he then discussed how he went from doctor to doctor to find answers for himself, which led him to a doctor located in Idaho. He did say something I agreed with - disease names are given for symptoms, but the source of the symptoms are seldom addressed. I found it interesting he said foods can be part of the source, but he added that his experiences showed sources to be (in order) lymes, mercury, mold and then foods. He said he went to see this doctor in Idaho who assessed him and treated him with Craniobiotic technique, and he feels well now. I didn't want to pry so don't know all of his symptoms, but know that extreme fatigue, brain fog, and joint pain were among them. And... he did talk in detail about leaky gut.

His reasoning (as is here) was that we need to eliminate the "source," then heal the leaky gut, and balance the bacteria in our body again. And, of course, if we do not eliminate the source, the other treatments will be a waste of money and time, and the symptoms will keep coming back.

He is a believer of eating grass-fed beef, avoiding processed foods, GMO's, and much of what is discussed on this forum.

The only difference was what he called the real source, which can vary from one person to another. At the clinic he told me about, individuals are tested for food allergies, food sensitivities, lymes, mercury levels, and for mold as well.

I am by no means saying he has the right answers, but the discussion raised a lot more questions in my mind. It may be possible he has been able to put his symptoms into a temporary remission, and they may come back as they do with many of us here.

I am wondering if anyone has ever researched any of this?? I tried doing a search here on Craniobiotic technique, and couldn't find anything.

Hi Paula, here's a youtube video on CranioBiotic Therapy. I found a little information--sounds like it's basically using acupressure points to channel and balance energy, per Chinese medicine.

Thank you for your response, Carol. It doesn't sound very impressive to me. I am surprised this is the avenue this particular doctor took to "hopefully" help with his health issues. But, we are all individual, so who knows.....

Paula, it's hard to know. I was helped immensely with acupuncture (I had intense nausea, everyday) and it also alters the flow of energy (chi) per Chinese medicine. Of course it's lasted for 5000 years, but maybe craniobiotic therapy utilizes some of the same principals.

Like you-- I'm a little surprised the doctor went that route.
